My Daily Meditations
Make Ready
Recently I just read a post on Face Book, that went something along the lines of living as if today was the day Jesus arrives, but, likewise understand that no one knows for certain what day that will be, ergo, live EACH day as that day was THE day.
For the Christian this is a must do thing. We are saved yes indeed, but we likewise need to show it to the world, that we live (as best we can) in accordance with the commands given unto us by our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
So, make ready, prepare your hearts! For those who do not believe, I come to you to tell you, there is indeed a God, and He is coming to judge. Prepare your hearts now, for once you stand in front of the Judgment throne it will be way too late.
3 A voice crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord: make straight in the desert a path for our God.
4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked shall be straight, and the rough places plain.
5 And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
10 Behold, the Lord God will come with power, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall guide them with young.
The Book of Isaiah Chapter 40:3-5, 10-11
9 After these things I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations and kindreds, and people, and tongues stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with long white robes, and palms in their hands.
10 [And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation cometh of our God, that sitteth upon the throne, and of the Lamb.
11 And all the Angels stood round about the throne, and about the Elders, and the four beasts, and they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12 Saying, Amen, Praise and glory, and wisdom, and thanks, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for evermore, Amen.
13 And one of the Elders spake, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in long white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Lord, thou knowest. And he said unto me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their long robes, and have made their long robes white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they in the presence of the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his Temple, and he that sitteth on the throne will dwell among them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore, neither shall the sun light on them, neither any heat.
17 For the Lamb, which is in the midst of the throne, shall govern them, and shall lead them unto the lively fountains of waters, and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Read One Psalm a Day
Psalm One Hundred Fifteen
1 Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto
thy Name give the glory for thy loving mercy, and
for thy truth’s sake.
2 Wherefore shall the heathen say, Where is
now their God?
3 But our God is in heaven: he doeth whatsoever
he will.
4 Their idols are silver and gold, even the work
of men’s hands.
5 They have a mouth, and speak not: they have
eyes, and see not.
6 They have ears, and hear not: they have noses
and smell not.
7 They have hands, and touch not: they have
feet, and walk not: neither make they a sound with
their throat.
8 They that make them are like unto them: so
are all that trust in them. (a)
9 O Israel, trust thou in the Lord: for he is their
help, and their shield.
10 O house of Aaron trust ye in the Lord, for he
is their help, and their shield.
11 Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: for he
is their helper, and their shield.
12 The Lord hath been mindful of us, he will
bless, he will bless the house of Israel, he will bless
the house of Aaron.
13 He will bless them that fear the Lord, both
small and great.
14 The Lord will increase his graces toward you,
even toward you, and toward your children.
15 Ye are blessed of the Lord, which made the
heaven and the earth.
16 The heavens, even the heavens are the Lord’s:
but he hath given the earth to the sons of men.
17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that
go down into the place of silence. (b)
18 But we will praise the Lord from henceforth
and forever. Praise ye the Lord.
(a) Editor’s thought - Verses 4-8 - These are the same that place their trust in the workings and doctrines of man. So yes they see, hear, taste and have the physical appearance of humans on the outside, but inwardly they are spiritually void of knowing the truth. Read The Epistle to the Ephesians Chapter 4:14, 17-19
(b) Editor’s thought - Like wise those who are spiritually dead, in so much as it is not in them to do so, so they drift in silence, and praise not God but themselves.
