Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do: he hath been a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, then speaketh he of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.
John 8:44 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

But he answered, and said, I am not sent, but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel Yet she came, and worshipped him, saying, Lord help me  And he answered, and said, It is not good to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to whelps But she said, Truth, Lord: yet indeed the whelps eat of the crumbs, which fall from their master’s table. Then Jesus answered, and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it to thee, as thou desirest. And her daughter was made whole at that hour.
Matthew 15:24-28 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

Greetings in the Name of Jesus

Today’s post has been touched upon before, but it is felt that it needed to be a bit expanded.  In the first scripture,  we find Jesus confronting the religious authorities of His day. He tells them, that they are of the devil, that is to say that their actions, covered in self righteousness, are not of God but of sin, and as such are orchestrated by the originator of sin, the Devil. (There is a lot more to all of this, but brevity here does not provide the time to expound upon it) Secondly, in the next scripture we find a woman, not of the faith, asking for the healing of her daughter, and as we see it is granted.

Herein then we move towards the gist of all of the above mentioned.  Number one, the devil is a liar, of that there is no dispute and can be agreed upon. Now, many objections that have been made by folks for not becoming Christians however one of the ones that continually pop up is the one that goes like this; “God only wants good people, and I’m not a good person” or “ I am unworthy of God” (This btw, was a personal argument that took time to get past).  However, bear in mind andremember who is whispering in your ear friends. Observe now the second scripture again. Christ speaks of coming for the lost of Israel, but this woman, who believes in Him, is granted her request because of her faith. Ergo, Christ has come for all who are lost. (a)

Friends Christ came to save ALL the lost of this world. To think that you’re not worthy of His sacrifice and by extension, mercy, grace and redemption, is a lie perpetuated by the father of all lies Satan. We are all sinners under the curse of sin whose wages is death, but, remember that He sent His only Son Jesus to be a propitiation (b) or to reconcile us to Himself by the dismissing of our sins through the blood of Jesus. You are indeed worthy to God, He created you, and thus wants you to be with Him.
