Numbers 11:23

Be not deceived: God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption: but he that soweth to the spirit, shall of the spirit reap life everlasting.

Greetings friends in the Name of Christ
As stated above God ways are not the same as the ways of mankind. There is a doctrine of feely good Gospel going around these days. It seems to espouse a salvation based on works, and not on grace. While works are part of the deal in walking the Christian road, it is not the road to salvation. That can only come from confessing and accepting the sacrifice made by Christ Jesus, and repenting of sin. God has so spoken that this is the only way. Christ has said that HE is the truth and the way, the ONLY way to the Father. I cannot make this any more simple or plain enough to the lost of the world.
Friends, I speak such so as not to scare you, but to warn you (a) God WILL DO as He has said He will do at judgment day. He will separate unto Himself those who have accepted His grace from those who rejected it. The former will enter the kingdom, and the latter cast into the outer darkness. (b) (c)
(a) Read Ezekiel 3:17-21, 33:2-20
(b) Read Matthew 8:5-12, 22:1-14
(c) By this it is meant that the Kingdom of Heaven is likened unto light, and those refused entry will endure the darkness on the outside of It.
