My Daily Meditation
Spread the Gospel
4 But Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread only, but by every word of God.
The Gospel According to Luke Chapter 4:4
3 Therefore he humbled thee, and made thee hungry, and fed thee with Manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know it, that he might teach thee that man lived not by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord, doth a man live.
The Book of Deuteronomy Chapter 8:3
7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth two and two, and gave them power over unclean spirits,
8 And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only: neither scrip, neither bread, neither money in their girdles:
9 But that they should be shod with sandals, and that they should not put on two coats,
10 And he said unto them, Wheresoever ye shall enter into an house, there abide till ye depart thence.
11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust that is under your feet, for a witness unto them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be easier for Sodom, or Gomorrah at the day of Judgment, than for that city.
12 And they went out, and preached, that men should amend their lives.
The Gospel According to Mark Chapter 6:7-12
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.
16 He that shall believe and be baptized, shall be saved: but he that will not believe, shall be damned.
The Gospel According to Mark Chapter 16:15-16
17 For CHRIST sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
18 For that preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness: but unto us, which are saved, it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will cast away the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the Scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made the wisdom of this world foolishness?
21 For seeing the world by wisdom knew not God in the wisdom of GOD, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe:
22 Seeing also that the Jews require a sign, and the Grecians seek after wisdom.
23 But we preach Christ crucified: unto the Jews, even a stumbling block, and unto the Grecians, foolishness:
24 But unto them which are called, both of the Jews and Grecians, we preach Christ, the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 For brethren, you see your calling, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called.
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weak things of the world, to confound the mighty things,
28 And vile things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, and things which [s]are not, to bring to nought things that are.
29 That no flesh should rejoice in his presence.
30 But ye are of him in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.
31 That, according as it is written, He that rejoiceth, let him rejoice in the Lord.
The First Epistle to the Corinthians Chapter 1:17-31
16 And to preach the Gospel in those regions which are beyond you: not to rejoice in another man’s line: that is, in the things that are prepared already.
The Second Epistle to the Corinthians Chapter 10:16
14 But how shall they call on him, in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him, of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them which bring glad tidings of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the Gospel: for Isaiah saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 Then faith is by hearing, and hearing by the word of God
The Epistle to the Romans Chapter 10:14-17
Read One Psalm a Day
Psalm One Hundred Twelve
1 Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, and
delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the
generation of the righteous shall be blessed.
3 Riches and treasures shall be in his house, and
his righteousness endureth forever.
4 Unto the righteous ariseth light in darkness:
he is merciful and full of compassion and
righteous.
5 A good man is merciful, and lendeth, and will
measure his affairs by judgment.
6 Surely he shall never be moved: but the righteous
shall be had in everlasting remembrance.
7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings: for his
heart is fixed, and believeth in the Lord.
8 His heart is established: therefore he will not
fear, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
9 He hath distributed and given to the poor: his
righteousness remaineth forever: his horn shall be
exalted with glory.
10 The wicked shall see it, and be angry: he shall
gnash with his teeth, and consume away: the desire
of the wicked shall perish.
