My Daily Meditation
I Am Not Ashamed and So I go Forth

6 Then I saw another Angel fly in the midst of heaven, having an everlasting Gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation and kindred, and tongue, and people
The Revelation of St. John the Apostle Chapter 14:6

16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, to the Jew first, and also to the Grecian.
The Epistle to the Romans Chapter 1:16

4 And this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached through the whole world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come.
The Gospel According to Matthew Chapter 24:14

10 And the Gospel must first be published among all nations.
The Gospel According to Mark Chapter 13:10

1 Then called he his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to heal diseases.
2 And he sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to cure the sick.
3 And he said to them, Take nothing to your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, nor silver, neither have two coats apiece.
4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.
5 And how many soever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
6 And they went out, and went through every town preaching the Gospel, and healing everywhere.
The Gospel According to Luke 9:1-7

25  So they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the Gospel in many towns of the Samaritans.
9 Where a vision appeared to Paul in the night. There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come into Macedonia, and help us.
10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we prepared to go into Macedonia, being assured that the Lord had called us to preach the Gospel unto them.
The Acts of the Apostles Chapter 8:25, Chapter 16:9-10

8 Be not therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, neither of me ]his prisoner: but be partaker of the afflictions of the Gospel according to the power of God,
The Second Epistle to Timothy Chapter 1:8

6 For unto this purpose was the Gospel preached also unto the dead, that they might be condemned according to men in the flesh, but might live according to God in the spirit.
17  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God. If it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them which obey not the Gospel of God?
The First Epistle of Peter Chapter 4:5, 17

Read One Psalm a Day
Psalm One Hundred Three

1 My soul, praise thou the Lord, and all that is
within me, praise his holy Name.
2 My soul, praise thou the Lord, and forget not
all his benefits.
3 Which forgiveth all thine iniquity, and healeth
all thine infirmities.
4 Which redeemeth thy life from the grave; and
crowneth thee with mercy and compassions.
5 Which satisfieth thy mouth with good things:
and thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (a)
6 The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment
to all that are oppressed.
7 He made his ways known unto Moses, and
his works unto the children of Israel.
8 The Lord is full of compassion and mercy, slow
to anger and of great kindness.
9 He will not always chide, neither keep his anger
forever.
10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor
rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heaven is above the earth, so
great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12 As far as the East is from the West: so far hath
he removed our sins from us.
13 As a father hath compassion on his children,
so hath the Lord compassion on them that fear
him.
14 For he knoweth whereof we be made: he
remembereth that we are but dust.
15 The days of man are as grass: as a flower of
the field, so flourisheth he.
16 For the wind goeth over it, and it is gone, and
the place thereof shall know it no more.
17 But the loving kindness of the Lord endureth
forever and ever upon them that fear him, and his
1righteousness upon children’s children,
18 Unto them that keep his covenant, and think
upon his commandments to do them.
19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom ruleth over all.
20 Praise the Lord, ye his Angels, that excel in
strength, that do his commandment in obeying the
voice of his word.
21 Praise the Lord all ye his hosts, ye his servants
that do his pleasure.
22 Praise the Lord all ye his works, in all places
of his dominion: my soul, praise thou the Lord.

(a) Editor’s thought - God fills our mouths with his living Word. Read Deuteronomy 8:3, Matthew 4:4, Jeremiah 1:9
