So, does healthcare still need a bit of tweaking? Well yes it does, but not a complete takeover by a single payer system that will eventually lead to rationing, and a decline in medical breakthroughs.
I have heard the arguement that HMO's ration care, and that is true. But, many people have a CHOICE, to continue with that HMO, or chose another. A single payer system will not allow for that choice. (So much for the party that prides itself on "choice")
Two of the better remedies I have heard are;
1) Tort Reform
2) The removing of restrictions of being able to purchase health insurance across state lines.
