Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in
the assembly of the righteous. - Psalm 1:5 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)
The
key word here is “stand”. Perhaps it should read withstand. For
to appear before the judgment seat of our Creator will be a fearful
thing. (Hebrews
10:31) Remember that our Saviour has declared that we shall be
separated as goats and sheep The former to the left and the latter to
the right. (Matthew
25:32-33) Likewise whosoever declares Christ as Saviour will
have Him as an advocate before the Father. (Matthew
10:31; Revelation
3:5).
Brethren
please recall how we have stressed that God is first and foremost
righteous. He simply cannot and will not look upon sin, nor allow it
to contaminate His kingdom. To the ungodly He will send to the outer
darkness, and to the righteous He will permit to enter His kingdom.
One can only enter the kingdom by accepting Christ as our Goel, that
is to say our Redeemer and Saviour.
Conclusion
can be made from one of the definitions of the word “stand” as
per Webster’s Dictionary Eds. 1913 & 1828
To remain without ruin or injury; to hold good against tendencies to impair or injure; to be permanent; to endure; to last; hence, to find endurance, strength, or resources. To endure; to sustain; to bear.

Brethren,
if we can indeed stand in the last day, we shall have won the crown.
