Also he said unto
them, Cometh the candle in, to be put under a bushel, or under the
bed, and not to be put in a candlestick?
Brethren:
The word of God is
likened to a ray of light. When (in our times) a light switch is
turned on in a a room it fills that room with brightness. It
illuminates every corner of that room so that nothing remains unseen.
Also light is an ever expanding beam. It’s radius increases as it
goes farther and farther away from it’s source.
Now one might
reasonably argue that a small light or candle cannot fully illuminate a
large hall, and there is some truth to the argument. Yet if one were
to sit in the farthest corner of said hall that light would still be
visible. Are not the stars in the heavens so tremendously far away
from us, and yet we can see them quite clearly on a cloudless night?
So it is with the
Word of God, as there is no darkness so deep in the recesses of the
mind of man that it cannot penetrate and illuminate with the truth.
Nor can it not be perceived by anyone whether they’re close to it
or far from it.
