The Epistle of the Paul the Apostle to the Ephesians
Chapter 4 Verses 26 - 27

upon your wrath,
27 Neither give place to the devil. (see note a)

(a) Editor’s thought - I have so often wish I could read Paul’s letters in the original Greek, as sometimes I feel I am missing something in the translation. Herein is such a case.
In Vs 27 we see the words “give place”. In the NKJ translation it is noted that the words mean to literally give opportunity. I looked up the phrase in Strong’s Concordance and found the following word;

eiko i'-ko apparently a primary verb; properly, to be weak, i.e. yield:--give place

In other words we should be strong, and guard ourselves not yielding to the Devil our anger in such a way that it would cause us first to dwell on it, then to plan vengeance, and then act on that plan.
