Dear Reader;
I am starting a re-reading of the Federalist Papers. It is my intent to share with you certain comments that I feel will be of value to the understanding of our Constitution. It is my hope that I will stay true to this endeavor, as it is not one of easy undertaking. I ask only that you pray for me to be diligent, and dedicated to this study.
Thank You;
R.P.W. Sr.
The Federalist Papers are a very important part of our history. I wish I had the time and dedication to restudy all of them. However, between classes and work, I don't have much time. I do however refer back to them when commenting on court cases. Interestingly, Chief Justices have used them by saying select phraseology as "our framers," or "greater forefathers," instead of directly referring to the papers themselves when using the Constitution to decide cases. I love law.
ReplyDeleteIt's also a fun thing to note that John Jay wrote the last five of the Federalist Papers, and in 1789 was appointed as the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court by President George Washington.
