The Epistle to the Hebrews
Chapter 2 Verses 9, 14, 17
9 But we see Jesus crowned with glory and
honor, which was made little inferior to the Angels,
through the suffering of death, that by God’s grace
he might taste death for all men.
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers
of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part
with them, that he might destroy through death, him
that had the power of death, that is, the devil,
17 Wherefore in all things it behooved him
to be made like unto his brethren, that he might
be merciful, and a faithful high Priest in things
concerning God, that he might make reconciliation
for the sins of the people.
