My Daily Meditation

5 And Jehoshaphat stood in the Congregation of Judah and Jerusalem in the house of the Lord before the new court,
6 And said, O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and reignest not thou on all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is power and might, and none is able to withstand thee.
7 Didst not thou our God cast out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend forever?
8 And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a Sanctuary therein for thy Name, saying,
9 If evil come upon us, as the sword of judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house and in thy presence for thy name is in this house and will cry unto thee in our tribulation, and thou wilt hear and help.
10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab, and mount Seir, by whom thou wouldest not let Israel go, when they came out of the land of Egypt: but they turned aside from them, and destroyed them not:
11 Behold, I say, they reward us, in coming to cast us out of thine inheritance, which thou hast caused us to inherit:
12 O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for there is no strength in us to stand before this great multitude that cometh against us, neither do we know what to do: but our eyes are toward thee.
13 And all Judah stood before the Lord with their young ones, their wives, and their children.
14 And Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, was there, upon whom came the Spirit of the Lord, in the midst of the Congregation.
15 And he said, Hearken ye all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou, King Jehoshaphat: thus saith the Lord unto you, Fear you not, neither be afraid for this great multitude: for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
16 Tomorrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cleft of Ziz, and ye shall find them at the end of the brook before the wilderness of Jeruel.
17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: stand still, move not, and behold the salvation of the Lord towards you: O Judah, and Jerusalem, fear ye not, neither be afraid: tomorrow go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.
18 Then Jehoshaphat bowed down with his face to the earth, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord, worshipping the Lord.
19  And the Levites of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.
20 And when they arose early in the morning, they went forth to the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they departed, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear ye me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem: put your trust in the Lord your God, and ye shall be assured: believe his Prophets, and ye shall prosper.
21 And when he had consulted with the people, and appointed singers unto the Lord, and them that should praise him that is in the beautiful Sanctuary, in going forth before the men of arms, and saying, Praise ye the Lord, for his mercy lasteth forever.
The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 20:5-21

47 And that all this assembly may know, that the Lord saveth not with sword nor with spear, (for the battle is the Lord’s) and he will give you into our hands.
The Second Book of Samuel Chapter17:47

14 If my people, among whom my Name is called upon, do humble themselves, and pray and seek my presence, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear in heaven and be merciful to their sin, and will heal their land:
15 Then mine eyes shall be open and mine ears attent unto the prayer made in this place.
16 For I have now chosen and sanctified this house, that my Name may be there forever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
17 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, to do according unto all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments,
18 Then will I establish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I made the covenant with David thy father, saying, Thou shalt not want a man to be ruler in Israel.
19 But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them,
20 Then will I pluck them up out of my land, which I have given them, and this house which I have sanctified for my Name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a common talk among all people.
The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 7:14-20

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly governors, the princes of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness, which are in the high places.
13 For this cause take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to resist in the evil day, and having finished all things, stand fast
The Epistle to the Ephesians Chapter 6:12-13

156 Great art thy tender mercies, O Lord: quicken me according to thy judgments.
157 My persecutors and mine oppressors are many: yet do I not swerve from thy testimonies.
158 I saw the transgressors and was grieved, because they kept not thy word.

My Daily Meditation

1 In the beginning was that Word, and that Word was with God, and that Word was God.
2 This same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by it, and without it was made nothing that was made
The Gospel According to John 1:1-3

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with these our eyes, which we have looked upon, and these hands of ours have handled of that word of life,
The First Epistle of John Chapter 1:1

12 For the word of God is lively, and mighty in operation, and sharper than any two edged sword, and entereth through, even unto the dividing asunder of the soul and the spirit, and of the joints, and the marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts, and the intents of the heart.
The Epistle to the Hebrews Chapter 4:12

13 And he was clothed with a garment dipped in blood, and his name is called, THE WORD OF GOD.
15 And out of his mouth went out a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the heathen: for he shall rule them with a rod of iron, for he it is that treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

My Daily Meditation

4 For all that is born of God, overcometh this world: and this is that victory that hath overcome this world even our faith.
5 Who is it that overcometh this world, but he which believeth that Jesus is that Son of God?
6 This is that Jesus Christ that came by water and blood: not by water only, but by water and blood: and it is that Spirit that beareth witness: for that Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three, which bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three, which bear record in the earth, the Spirit, and the Water and the Blood: and these three agree in one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God, which he testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth in that Son of God, hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God, hath made him a liar, because he believed not the record, that God witnessed of that his Son.
11 And this is that record, to wit, that God hath given unto us eternal life, and this life is in that his Son.
12 He that hath that Son, hath that life: and he that hath not that Son of God, hath not that life.
13 These things have I written unto you, that believe in the name of that Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe in the Name of that Son of God.
The First Epistle of John Chapter 5:4-13

31 And they said, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thine household.
The Acts of the Apostles Chapter 16:31

8 But what saith it? The word is near thee, even in thy mouth, and in thine heart. This is the word of faith which we preach.
9 For if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart, that God raised him up from the dead, thou shalt be saved:
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth man confesseth to salvation.
The Epistle to the Romans Chapter 8:8-10

My Daily Meditation
Rejoice

Today, my friends, let us take joy in today. It is not any holiday, there are no celebrations, nor is it different than yesterday. But it is another day that, as the Psalmist wrote, is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice. Take joy in this day, find the good and hold fast to it.  Pray with me my friends.

Heavenly Father, may my day be filled with goodness. Help me to find joy in all that I do, even if at times it is a difficult task. Let me be filled with your Spirit that I might show that joy to all who cross my path today.  Guide me in your ways, help me to guard my tongue so that I will speak good words to all, that are filled with life, blessings, and the Gospel of your son. I ask in Jesus name, amen.

24 This is the day, which the Lord hath made: let us rejoice and be glad in it.
The Book of Psalms Chapter 118:24

9 Sing unto him, sing praise unto him, and talk of all his wonderful works.
10 Rejoice in his holy Name: let the hearts of them that seek the Lord, rejoice.
11 Seek the Lord and his strength: seek his face continually.
The First Book of Chronicles Chapter16:9-11

11 And let all them that trust in thee, rejoice and triumph forever, and cover thou them: and let them that love thy name, rejoice in thee.
12 For thou Lord, wilt bless the righteous, and with favor wilt compass him, as with a shield.
The Book of Psalms Chapter 5:11-12

18 But I will rejoice in the Lord: I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The Book of Habakkuk 3:17-19

25 For David saith concerning him, I beheld the Lord always before me: for he is at my right hand, that I should not be shaken.
26 Therefore did mine heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad, and moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope,
27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in grave, neither wilt suffer thine Holy one to see corruption.
The Acts of the Apostles Chapter 2:25-27

2 By whom also through faith we have had this access into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice under the hope of the glory of God.
3 Neither that only, but also we rejoice in tribulations, knowing that tribulation bringeth forth patience.
4 And patience experience, and experience hope.
5 And hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the holy Ghost, which is given unto us.
The Epistle to the Romans Chapter 5:2-5

30 But ye are of him in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.
31 That, according as it is written, He that rejoiceth, let him rejoice in the Lord.

My Daily Meditation

My friends I will be brief today, and let the Word of God speak to your hearts

32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
The Gospel According to Luke Chapter 5:31

30 The God of our fathers hath raised up Jesus whom ye slew, and hanged on a tree.
31 Him hath God lifted up with his right hand, to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
32 And we are his witnesses concerning these things which we say: yea, and the holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him
The Acts of the Apostles Chapter 5:30-32

24 But the servant of the Lord must not strive, but must be gentle toward all men, apt to teach, suffering the evil,
25 Instructing them with meekness that are contrary minded, proving if God at any time will give them repentance, that they may acknowledge the truth,
26 And come to amendment out of that snare of the devil, of whom they are taken prisoners, to do his will.
The Second Epistle to Timothy Chapter 2:24-25

9 The Lord of that promise is not slack (as some men count slackness) but is patient toward us, and would have no man to perish, but would all men to come to repentance.
The Second Epistle of Peter Chapter 3:8

4 Who will that all men shall be saved, and come unto the acknowledging of the truth.
The First Epistle to Timothy Chapter 2:4

servant, according unto thy word.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for
I have believed thy commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted, I went astray: but now
I keep thy word.
68 Thou art good and gracious: teach me thy
statutes.
69 The proud have imagined a lie against me: but
I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.
70 Their heart is fat as grease, but my delight is
in thy Law.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted,
that I may learn thy statutes. (a)
72 The Law of thy mouth is better unto me, than

(a) Editor’s thought and notation - When we endure afflictions, that is to say go through hard and/or difficult times we begin to understand patience and the holding on of our faith. Likewise we learn to come closer to our God. Remember, that our Savior endured much affliction and suffered the ultimate punishment for our sakes, yet never took His eyes off of our Creator.  Read 2 Timothy 4:5, 1 Peter 5:9-10

I am He

Friends, there is no dispute here, just the facts of God’s word.

5 I am the Lord, and there is none other; there is no God besides me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me.
17 But Israel shall be saved in the Lord, with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
20 Assemble yourselves, and come: draw near together, ye abject of the Gentiles: they have no knowledge, that set up the wood of their idol, and pray unto a god, that cannot save them.
21 Tell ye and bring them, and let them take counsel together, who hath declared this from the beginning, or hath told it of old? Have not I the Lord? and there is none other God beside me, a just God, and a Savior: there is none beside me.
22 Look unto me, and ye shall be saved: all the ends of the earth shall be saved: for I am God, and there is none other.

My Daily Meditation
Honor Her

Friends, today is a day that we here in the USA, have dedicated to the honoring of our mothers, daughters, and wives. It is a good thing, but let us not also to remember them daily as well. There is a song by Noel Paul Stookey, of Peter Paul and Mary fame, that I am certain we are all familiar with titled “The Wedding Song". In it there is a line that has always been a reminder of the importance of a woman to a man in the service of God:

“Woman draws her life from man, and gives it back again”

Let us therefore ever be mindful that our mothers, daughters and wives, are to us to be lifted up and place as vessel of honor.

7 Likewise ye husbands, dwell with them as men of knowledge, giving honor unto the woman, as unto the weaker vessel, even as they which are heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers be not interrupted
The First Epistle of Peter Chapter 3:7

3 Let the husband give unto the wife due benevolence, and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
The First Epistle to the Corinthians Chapter7:3

10 Who shall find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above the pearls.
11 The heart of her husband trusteth in her, and he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good, and not evil all the days of her life.
13 She seeketh wool and flax, and laboreth cheerfully with her hands.
14 She is like the ships of merchants: she bringeth her food from afar.
15 And she ariseth, while it is yet night: and giveth the portion to her household, and the ordinary to her maids.
16 She considereth a field, and getteth it: and with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She feeleth that her merchandise is good: her candle is not put out by night.
19 She putteth her hands to the wheel, and her hands handle the spindle.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor, and putteth forth her hands to the needy.
21 She feareth not the snow for her family: for all her family is clothed with scarlet.
22 She maketh herself carpets: fine linen and purple is her garment.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth with the Elders of the land.
24 She maketh sheets, and selleth them, and giveth girdles unto the merchant.
25 Strength and honor is her clothing, and in the latter day she shall rejoice.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom, and the law of grace is in her tongue.
27 She overseeth the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up, and call her blessed: her husband also shall praise her, saying,
29 Many daughters have done virtuously: but thou surmountest them all.
30 Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vanity: but a woman that feareth the Lord she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.

and I will keep it unto the end.
34 Give me understanding and I will keep thy
Law, yea, I will keep it with my whole heart.
35 Direct me in the path of thy commandments:
for therein is my delight.
36 Incline mine heart unto thy testimonies: and
not to covetousness.
37 Turn away mine eyes from regarding vanity,
and quicken me in thy way. (a)
38 Stablish thy promise to thy servant, because
he feareth thee.
39 Take away my rebuke that I fear: for thy judgments
are good.
40 Behold, I desire thy commandments: quicken
me in thy righteousness.
