If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth at the right hand of God. Set your affections on things which are above, and not on things which are on the earth. (a)
Colossians 3:1-2 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

Good morning in the name of Jesus

Today, we read that we are to seek, all things that are in line with God’s righteousness. Once one has come to the knowledge of Christ and how God’s righteousness is bestowed upon us by His sacrifice, we are then to begin to live the way that is pleasing to our Creator. Our words should be edifying in all that we speak upon. Our actions should be based on compassion and love. Our desire in life is to lead a life that by example shows how God’s people are to live, and in essence is assisting in the great commission by making disciples of all people. Remember friends, actions do speak louder than words.

Both the Apostles James and Paul speak on this topic. The former admonishes us about our speech, and how with one mouth we should not use the same to both bless and curse. As he had written, does the same spring bring forth both sweet water and bitter? The latter instructs us to act, and think in a manner that closely resembles our Father, this is to say to put to death the lusts of the flesh and put on the breastplate of righteousness. (b)

Likewise did the Prophet Isaiah write that the ways of God are higher than the ways of man, and so, as such, we must seek those ways (c)

And Jesus looked upon him, and loved him, and said unto him, One thing is lacking unto thee. Go and sell all that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven, and come, follow me, and take up the cross.
Mark 10:21 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

Good morning in the name of Jesus

Friends, are you willing to part with and forsake the idols that we are consumed with following?  This is not to suggest that we forgo the needed items for our daily sustenance, for as written our heavenly Fathers knows our needs and has provided ways and means to attain them for ourselves and families. However, are you willing to give yourself over fully to Christ, in holy service in order to fulfill the great commission, that is to make disciples of all people. The harvest is large but the workers are few.

Know now beforehand too, that during these times, friends and family may forsake and abandon you, this should be no surprise. You will face trails and divers of tribulations (for the Devil is constantly on the prowl, as in written by Peter, like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour). But likewise know that your God is for you, as we read yesterday, and as the Psalmist wrote;
“I will rejoice in God, because of his word, I trust in God, and will not fear what flesh can do unto me.”

Yet if we remain steadfast and follow the course, we will receive the prize. Now do not misunderstand here, that this is a Gospel of Works, for it is not so, it is however a calling to those who would serve our Creator. Seek Him, daily, and all good things will be unto you.

Friends for those of you that have not accepted God’s plan of redemption, it is urged that you do so, this offer expires upon the return of Christ, and no one person knows when that time is coming. It could happen the very second after you read this post. Pray with me friends:

Father, I come before you to confess my sins, and to accept your grace and mercy, by acknowledging the sacrifice of your Son Jesus Christ as an atonement for my sins.  Amen

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be on our side, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

38 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor Angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord
Romans 8:38-39 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

Good morning in then name of our risen Savior Jesus Christ

Friends, if you don’t understand this, or believe this than you don’t know God, or who He is. God is not only for you, He’s been in your corner ever since He created you. He spared not His only Son to be an atonement for the sins of all people, your’s included.  If that is not being for you, then what can one say that would convince you?

God, our Father, is so for us, that He installed a new covenant with us which used the blood and body of Jesus Christ as the ultimate sacrifice, to bring us into remission of sins, and the instalation of a righteousness through cleansing of our sins through Christ.

Now a covenant is a solemn compact, made between two parties in this case between God and us. However, it is deeper than that as according to Webster’s Dictionary (Ed. 1913 & 1828) it is an undertaking, on sufficient consideration, in writing and under seal, (in our case sealed with the blood of Jesus), again all of which denote a mutual agreement between two parties. We then are  entering into a formal agreement; a stipulation to bind ones self by contract as the terms that are expressed  has a value or price. We are then not only parties to this agreement, but by extension, as is written Scripture heirs with Christ and also now sons of God.

God has presented and kept His part of this agreement and it is now up to us to do our part by accepting this grace and mercy, and seek Him, and additionally offering ourselves in holy service, our praise, and thanksgiving to Him. God’s yoke is not heavy, nor is it burdensome.

We have a victory now in all things, from the cross at Calvary. More importantly, we have the most powerful entity in all the universe, by our sides.  As stated in above, who dares to fight against us, when He is fighting for us.

Friends if you have read this today, and want to be part of God’s family. If these simple words have touched your heart, then pray with me.
Father, I have come to understand you, and your ways, and I accept the sacrifice of your Son Jesus for the atonement of my sins. Cleanse me now Father, and make my sins whiter than snow. Amen.

2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron: and the whole assembly said unto them, Would God we had died in the land of Egypt, or in this wilderness: would God we were dead.
11 And the Lord said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me, and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have showed among them?
Numbers 14:2, 11 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

Good morning in the name of Jesus

Friends, indeed how long will take for people to understand, and accept God’s provision for salvation? He is indeed patient, wishing that none should perish but all come to Him. (Ezekiel 33:11) But likewise someday that patience will come to an end and He will return, of this I have no doubt. There are so many that are doubtful as to the reality that is God, yet each day, He shows us His mercy, and love. We hear in the cry of a newborn child, in the setting and rising of the Sun. In the stars in the night skies, in the wonders of the atoms, and how each resembles mini solar systems with the nucleus surrounded by orbiting electrons. All of these things were created by Him, through Him for us to marvel. Still people remained stiff necked, and stubborn, or unbelieving. Today friends for those that search for meaning in their lives, today God again calls you to seek Him.

Pray with me friends:
Father, I seek you today, and submit myself to Your authority. I am a sinner, and ask to be washed clean by the precious blood of your Son Jesus Christ, who died for me to remove all sin. I kneel at the foot of the Cross of Calvary, and accept your offer of redemption and salvation.   Amen

Romans 8:26

For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and man, which is the man Christ Jesus
1 Timothy 2:5

Good morning in the mighty name of Jesus Christ

Friends, it was not exactly clear this morning, at first as to what was to be written in today’s post.  Although the passages were about prayer, the question remained, what about it. We know that prayer is our communication with God, yet sometimes during those periods we can get distracted. Other times we pray for things what would uplift the flesh, but not the spirit. Hence the need for a helper, the Holy Spirit, that God has placed within us.  Likewise we’re in need of a Mediator, who intercedes for us, when we’re at a loss for words, or our thoughts are jumbled, or we’re just down right confused. The idea for a mediator suggests that there is a vast difference, a gap if you will,  between what we want for ourselves and what God knows is best for us. Christ is that Mediator, the one and only one that bridges that gap.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the Spirit of bondage, to fear again: but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The same Spirit beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. If we be children, we are also heirs, even the heirs of God, and heirs annexed with Christ: if so be that we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
Romans 8:14-17 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

Greetings in the name of Jesus

All that are Christ’s are taken into the relation of Children to God,. They are led by the Spirit of God, as a scholar in his learning is led by his tutor, as a traveller in his journey is led by his guide, as a soldier in his engagements is led by his captain; not driven as beasts, but led as rational creatures, drawn with the cords of a man and the bands of love. It is the undoubted character of all true believers that they are led by the Spirit of God. Having submitted themselves in believing to his guidance, they do in their obedience follow that guidance, and are sweetly led into all truth and all duty. Their privilege: They are the sons of God, received into the number of God’s children by adoption, owned and loved by him as his children.
Source Matthew’s Bible Commentary

Friends, when one accepts God’s offer of mercy and grace, one indeed becomes a member of the family. To use the vernacular, we’re kinfolk.  So, it behooves us to act as members of a family.  Let us love one another, (yes there will be family squabbles from time to time), and let us seek each other out in times of good and bad. Offer of ourselves in the service of one another whenever possible. But more importantly, let us show the lost the benefits of being a family member by showing the love of Christ to them, through us.

Therefore brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh, to live after the flesh: For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye mortify the deeds of the body by the Spirit, ye shall live.
Romans 8:12-13 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

Good morning in the name of Christ

Friends, what more can be said of this above scripture? Since we are now under grace, our only obligation to our earthly bodies is to do what is needed to continue living. That is to clothe, feed, and generally take care of ourselves.  With this service God is pleased, and sees as necessary to live. However, we now take on a new mantel, that is to say one of the living for the Holy Spirit. We are to focus in this direction, in the service of our Creator. And what is our obligation?

Well it was written in yesterday’s post. Firstly we are to love God, and secondly we are to love each other.  The former entails the acknowledging of our Heavenly Creator via reading and studying His word, through prayer and supplication, and by worshiping. The latter concerns the needs of others. We must bring the word of the Gospel to them for two reasons. Both are commands by God and His Son Jesus Christ. In the OT, it is found in Ezekiel that we are required to do so, as a watchman would warn the citizens of a city of impending danger. If said watchman failed in his duty, their blood was on his head. However if the latter refused to listen, well he did what he was required of him. In the NT, we are given the great commission, to make disciples of all men.

We can accomplish this in many ways, and service  those that are still lost, by our actions, or as the Apostle James wrote our good works.  Let them see the love God in you, and through you. Let your actions be louder than mere words.  For as the Apostle Paul (in summation here) wrote, if you do not have love, you have nothing, and are nothing more than a brass cymbal, clanging loudly, without purpose.

For (that that was impossible to the Law, inasmuch as it was weak, because of the flesh) God sending his own Son, in the similitude of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh,
Romans 8:3 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

Good morning friends in the Name of Jesus Christ

A bit of backtracking here today is needed. First we must establish, what is the Law as established by God. Many scholars, basically say that the Law is for the most part the commandments as given unto Moses by God. There is validity to this statement, yet it should be noted that Christ  had stated that all the laws of God and the prophets hinged on two things: (a)

1) Love the Lord thy God
2) Love thy neighbors as you love yourself.

These two commandments were the base upon which God chose to build His righteousness. Now being put into the perspective, one can see as to why, the Law could not establish righteousness in man. For man is corrupted through sin, and as such is incapable of living totally under just these two simple commands. Hence the need for a Savior, God in the flesh, who knew no sin became the atonement of sin for us. Therefore, the righteousness of God is now imputed unto us through the sacrifice of Jesus. Friends He paid our debt in full.

This is the gift from God, that extends mercy and grace to us. That He would spare not His only Son, so that we might be spared from the wages of sin, and the condemnation of the Law, of those two commands, which flesh could not fulfill to achieve righteousness on our own accord.

You are urged, and exhorted, to seek out and accept God’s grace as freely given to you.

Pray with me friends:
Heavenly Father, I come to you this day to admit that I am indeed a sinner, and am under the curse of sin, and the Law. I ask you to forgive my sins, and freely accept your offer of grace as provided by you by the sacrifice of Your Son Jesus Christ, who died for me, that I might live.  I accept Jesus as my Savior, and ask Him to enter into me, that I might receive adoption into your family.  Amen.

Friends if you’ve just prayed and accepted God’s offer of grace and mercy, you’ve just made the greatest choice of your life! The next step is find a church, or even a small study group, that will help you, teach you, and support you as you grow in God’s family.

The angels rejoice as another sinner has come to the cross at Calvary, and has now been washed clean in the blood of Jesus Christ. Welcome brothers and sisters!

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead, dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead, shall also quicken your mortal bodies, by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (a)
Romans 8:11 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

Greetings friends in the might name of Jesus

The Lord is for the body; and though at death it is cast aside as a despised broken vessel, a vessel in which is no pleasure, yet God will have a desire to the work of his hands will remember his covenant with the dust, and will not lose a grain of it; but the body shall be reunited to the soul, and clothed with a glory agreeable to it. Vile bodies shall be newly fashioned; Two great assurances of the resurrection of the body are mentioned. The resurrection of Christ: He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken. Christ rose as the head, and first-fruits, and forerunner of all the saints, The body of Christ lay in the grave, under the sin of all the elect imputed, and broke through it. O grave, then, where is thy victory? It is in the virtue of Christ’s resurrection that we shall rise. The indwelling of the Spirit. that the same Spirit that raiseth the soul now will raise the body shortly. Source Matthew’s Bible Commentary

(a) Read Acts 2:24 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:14, 19, 15:42; Philippians 3:21

Friends, as we have seen God’s word is truth, He does not lie.  In fact it is impossible for Him to do so, because He is all righteousness.  However, again it is stressed that the only way for this to happen, that is to say to be resurrected unto eternal salvation, (as opposed to being resurrected and cast outwards into the darkness) is to accept Christ as your Savior. The day of judgment draws near friends. Many, upon many of the prophecies made in reference to the end times are coming to fruition.  And even if it is still a few lifetimes away, do not be deceived, it will happen. Will you be caught napping, and unaware?

Yesterday it was posted to seek the Lord while He may be found. I urge you all that have net yet done so to get it done today. There is no shame in this action, no matter what the world (aka, the ruler of this world Satan), may tell you. Likewise there is no other way as we have seen previously that Jesus is the way to the Father.

Pray with me friends:
Father, today, I have come to realize that I am a sinful creature. I am flawed, but I want to become aright, I am broken, and I need to be made whole again.  I confess my sins, and accept Jesus as my Savior, as an atonement for my sins, and welcome Him into my heart. Amen.

Friends as we have written before, if you prayed with me in all sincerity, you’ve not only done the right thing, but the best thing you’ll ever do in your life. You’re next step is find Christian brethren, and a place wherein you can learn and grow in Christ. Purchase a Bible, and begin to dedicate  yourself to rising a few minutes earlier in the morning, and begin to read.  This road you are now on it is a long one, and it might be added often at times a difficult path. but to quote the poet Robert Frost:

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference”

However all praise be to God, that He has created this path for us upon which we might tred, as it continually changes us, and helps us grow into the creation He had intended for us.

Because the wisdom of the flesh is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh, cannot please God.
Romans 8:7-8 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination unto the Lord: but the prayer of the righteous is acceptable unto him.
Proverbs 15:8 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

Good morning friends in the name of Jesus

The holiness of the law of God, and the unholiness of the carnal mind, are as irreconcilable as light and darkness. The carnal man may, by the power of divine grace, be made subject to the law of God, but the carnal mind never can; this must be broken and expelled. See how wretchedly the corrupt will of man is enslaved to sin; as far as the carnal mind prevails, there is no inclination to the law of God; therefore wherever there is a change wrought it is by the power of God’s grace, not by the freedom of man’s will. Hence he infers that those that are in the flesh cannot please God. Those that are in a carnal unregenerate state, under the reigning power of sin, cannot do the things that please God, wanting grace, the pleasing principle, and an interest in Christ, the pleasing Mediator. In fact the very sacrifice of such persons is an abomination. Pleasing God is our highest end, of which those that are in the flesh cannot but fall short; they cannot please him, nay, they cannot but displease him. - Source Matthew’s Bible Commentary (Edited RPW Sr.)

Friends, another lie of the devil is the one that makes one think that they are a good person, and their good actions outweighs the bad actions, and as such will go to heaven. Again, as has been touched on previously this is a belief in a doctrine of good works to earn salvation and as such is a false doctrine. Now, should one, as a redeemed Christian do good works, certainly yes! But likewise it does not give one a license to continue to walk in the carnality of one’s mind. Salvation is not a get out of hell free card. It is or must become the regeneration of one’s mind, and the walking in the spirit.  Will one stumble, yes, one will, we are still after all flawed humans. However, we should seek continually to avoid such situations that would cause it, and also seek as the Apostle Paul said in his Epistle to the Church at Philippi chapter 4 verse 8 to:

“Furthermore, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are worthy love, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, or if there be any praise, think on these things.”

In this way, we can train ourselves to become the new man of the spirit, and put to death and bury the old man who lived within his carnal wisdom

Jesus said unto him, I am that Way, and that Truth, and that Life. No man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

Greetings friends in the name of Jesus Christ

Today’s post (edited by RPW Sr.) is taken from Matthew’s Bible Commentary. It is a very useful and insightful book.

We have here a further account of that covenant of grace which is made with us in Jesus Christ, both what is required and what is promised in the covenant, and of those considerations that are sufficient abundantly to confirm our believing compliance with and reliance on that covenant. This gracious discovery of God’s good-will to the children of men is not to be confined either to the Jew or to the Gentile, to the Old Testament or to the New, much less to the captives in Babylon. No, both the precepts and the promises are here given to all people.

Christ, having set the happiness of heaven before them as the end, here shows them himself as the way to it, and tells them that they were better acquainted both with the end they were to aim at and with the way they were to walk.  Christ is the way, the highway spoken of in, Isaiah. 35:8. Christ was his own way, for by his own blood he entered into the holy place (Hebrews. 9:12), and he is our way, for we enter by him. By his doctrine and example he teaches us our duty, by his merit and intercession he procures our happiness, and so he is the way. In him God and man meet, and are brought together.  He is the beginning, the middle, and the end. In him we must set out, go on, and finish. As the truth, he is the guide of our way; as the life, he is the end of it. He is the true and living way. There are truth and life in the way, as well as at the end of it. He is the true way to life, the only true way; other ways may seem right, but the end of them is the way of death.

A fallen mankind must come to God as a Judge, but cannot come to him as a Father, otherwise than by Christ as Mediator. We cannot perform the duty of coming to God, by repentance and the acts of worship, without the Spirit and grace of Christ, nor obtain the happiness of coming to God as our Father without his merit and righteousness; he is the high priest of our profession, our advocate.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do: he hath been a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, then speaketh he of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.
John 8:44 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

But he answered, and said, I am not sent, but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel Yet she came, and worshipped him, saying, Lord help me  And he answered, and said, It is not good to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to whelps But she said, Truth, Lord: yet indeed the whelps eat of the crumbs, which fall from their master’s table. Then Jesus answered, and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it to thee, as thou desirest. And her daughter was made whole at that hour.
Matthew 15:24-28 (GNV Translation Ed. 1599)

Greetings in the Name of Jesus

Today’s post has been touched upon before, but it is felt that it needed to be a bit expanded.  In the first scripture,  we find Jesus confronting the religious authorities of His day. He tells them, that they are of the devil, that is to say that their actions, covered in self righteousness, are not of God but of sin, and as such are orchestrated by the originator of sin, the Devil. (There is a lot more to all of this, but brevity here does not provide the time to expound upon it) Secondly, in the next scripture we find a woman, not of the faith, asking for the healing of her daughter, and as we see it is granted.

Herein then we move towards the gist of all of the above mentioned.  Number one, the devil is a liar, of that there is no dispute and can be agreed upon. Now, many objections that have been made by folks for not becoming Christians however one of the ones that continually pop up is the one that goes like this; “God only wants good people, and I’m not a good person” or “ I am unworthy of God” (This btw, was a personal argument that took time to get past).  However, bear in mind andremember who is whispering in your ear friends. Observe now the second scripture again. Christ speaks of coming for the lost of Israel, but this woman, who believes in Him, is granted her request because of her faith. Ergo, Christ has come for all who are lost. (a)

Friends Christ came to save ALL the lost of this world. To think that you’re not worthy of His sacrifice and by extension, mercy, grace and redemption, is a lie perpetuated by the father of all lies Satan. We are all sinners under the curse of sin whose wages is death, but, remember that He sent His only Son Jesus to be a propitiation (b) or to reconcile us to Himself by the dismissing of our sins through the blood of Jesus. You are indeed worthy to God, He created you, and thus wants you to be with Him.

God forbid: yea, let God be true, and every man a liar, as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy words, and overcome, when thou art judged. Now if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? is God unrighteous which punisheth? (I speak as a man.) God forbid: (else how shall God judge the world?) For if the verity of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory, why am I yet condemned as a sinner? And (as we are blamed, and as some affirm, that we say) why do we not evil, that good may come thereof? whose damnation is just. What then? are we more excellent? No, in no wise: for we have already proved, that all, both Jews and Gentiles are under sin,  As it is written, There is none righteous no not one. There is none that understandeth: there is none that seeketh God. They have all gone out of the way: they have been made altogether unprofitable: there is none that doeth good, no not one. (a)
Romans 3:4-12 (GNV Translation)

But we have all been as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness is as filthy cloths, and we all do fade like a leaf, and our iniquities like the wind have taken us away.
Isaiah 64:6 (GNV Translation)

Greetings friends in the name of our risen Savior Christ Jesus

Continuing on with yesterday’s post, we touched on the fact that the idea of salvation through works, is not going to get you into eternal salvation.  Even our best endeavors at being righteous are nothing more than rags in the eyes of God.  Does He approve of those doing good works, certainly yes, however, His desire is for you to do them in His name, and not our own. Some folks do good works, and deeds as to show their prominence, to inflate their own stature. Such are viewed with disdain, for God dislikes a boaster.  Others do so, to work their way into heaven, and as has been stated previously, this likewise will not get you into heaven. (b)

The way to the Father is through Jesus Christ. Again, it is suggested strongly, that you read for yourselves, the Gospels. This writer can only point you in the right direction, but cannot make you believe. And while we are instructed by our Savior to make disciples of all men, it is necessary for those to believe in Him, who sent Him. As the scriptures have said,  without faith, it is impossible to please God and that it is important to believe that HE IS for He rewards those who diligently seek Him. (c) For that to happen, you the reader must make a choice; Do you believe or not believe, likewise if you believe, will you follow, or turn away? (d)

We end today’s comments with the following:

Now when Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I, the son of man, am? And they said, Some say, John Baptist: and some, Elijah: and others, Jeremiah, or one of the Prophets. He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am?Then Simon Peter answered, and said, Thou art that Christ, the son of the living God. And Jesus answered, and said to him, Blessed art thou, Simon, the son of Jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Good morning friends in the mighty name of Christ Jesus

Friends, I have been exhorting you all to accepting of Christ, the Lamb of God, as your Savior.  As has been stated previously it is the way to the Father and eternal salvation.  This age is coming to an end.  As such, the time grows shorter by each rising and setting of the sun. Do not neglect such an offer as given unto you by our Creator.  He wishes that all His children, His creations, come to this knowledge and to accept this gift of redemption, that none may perish. But it is up to you, for He does not force His will upon anyone, He gives you a free choice.

Look into the Gospels, and see for yourselves friends. God’s word is true, and He WILL return to judge the earth, and it’s inhabitants.  Again, I’m not trying to scare you, but to warn you. The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all contain the same message; Salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ. There is no other way.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Is the Lord’s hand shortened? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee, or no.
Numbers 11:23

God is not as man, that he should lie, neither as the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? and hath he spoken, and shall he not accomplish it?
Numbers 23:19

Be not deceived: God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  For he that soweth to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption: but he that soweth to the spirit, shall of the spirit reap life everlasting.
Galatians 6:7-8

Greetings friends in the Name of Christ

As stated above God ways are not the same as the ways of mankind.  There is a doctrine of feely good Gospel going around these days. It seems to espouse a salvation based on works, and not on grace. While works are part of the deal in walking the Christian road, it is not the road to salvation. That can only come from confessing and accepting the sacrifice made by Christ Jesus, and repenting of sin. God has so spoken that this is the only way. Christ has said that HE is the truth and the way, the ONLY way to the Father. I cannot make this any more simple or plain enough to the lost of the world.

Friends, I speak such so as not to scare you, but to warn you (a)  God WILL DO as He has said He will do at judgment day. He will separate unto Himself those who have accepted His grace from those who rejected it.  The former will enter the kingdom, and the latter cast into the outer darkness. (b) (c)

(a) Read Ezekiel 3:17-21, 33:2-20
(b) Read Matthew 8:5-12,  22:1-14
(c) By this it is meant that the Kingdom of Heaven is likened unto light, and those refused entry will endure the darkness on the outside of It.

And Jesus said unto them, I am that bread of life: he that cometh to me, shall not hunger, and he that believeth in me, shall never thirst.
John 6:35

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and have it in abundance.
John 10:10

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth, and believeth in me, shall never die: Believest thou this?
John 11:25-26

Good morning friends;

What does the above scriptures all have in common?  Each contains the either word “life” or “live”  Friends, I’ll not mince words here. God sent his only Son into the world, that you might gain redemption unto Him and thereby spend eternity with Him.  The sacrifice made by Christ Jesus on our behalf was done because God loves us, and was willing to make this sacrifice to save us. What the law could not do, the cross did do. This is to say, the blood spilled by our Saviour washes us clean of all sin. Jesus came to give us life!  Accept this sacrifice today friends, as tomorrow might be too late.

This is the day, which the Lord hath made: let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

Today is a good day. I don’t care if it’s sunny or storming outside. I don’t care, if it’s 5 degrees or 105 degrees, it is a good day. You may be happy, you may be blue, but it’s a good day. You may be on your way to work, or at home getting ready to take on the daily tasks, but it’s a good day.
Now you might be asking me, “friend, what makes this a good day? You don’t know what’s going in my life, I’m ill, I’m broke, I’m destitute. My family is falling apart, my job is about to move away. My mom, or dad are gone, and I’m all alone. I have no friends, I have only enemies. Why is today a good day?”

I’ll tell you why folks, because you woke up this morning, you put your two feet on the ground, you opened your eyes, and you took a breath of air. All of this was done by the goodness of God, our Creator, but what’s more, is that you are witness to yet another day of HIS creation. Every day is a good day, as made by our Creator. As scripture has said, he created the heavens and the earth, and as such Has set them into motion, and each day the sun rises and sets, and you’re around to see it.  But it gets even better, allow me to explain.

To my brothers and sisters in Christ, you may now go about your daily routines, as I continue onward. I am now addressing the lost, and unsaved. Today is a good day, because God has given you yet another opportunity to join His family, and to accept His grace and mercy.  Don’t put it off until tomorrow, because it is not a given thing. When He has decided enough is enough, He will return, and it will be too late. Now I don’t care if you’re a CEO, or a beggar. I don’t care if your wealthy beyond all means, or poor barely scraping by. You may be walking to work, you may be sitting in jail. I don’t care who, or what you are, for to God it doesn’t matter, you are a work of His hands, and as such are part of His ultimate creation; mankind. And let me tell you friend, he loves you. He loves you with a love that is beyond your imagination.  He wants you in the fold, in the family, and He asks only one thing of you, just one. To confess your sins, and accept the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ as atonement for your sins.

If you are reading this, act today, now! It’s simple and takes no time at all. Pray with me if you will:

Heavenly Father. I confess my sins, I accept the sacrifice of your Son Jesus Christ who knew no sin and, who died for me, to be redeemed to you. I ask you now to come into my heart, and to help me live my life for you. Amen

Friends, if you just made this prayer, you have just made the best decision of your life. Go forth now and seek others, fellowship with other believers, find a church, a Bible study group. Learn and grow. Today IS a good day!

The Third Epistle of John
Chapter 3:1-14
Geneva Bible Translation Ed. 1599

1 The Elder unto the beloved Gaius whom I love in the truth.
2 Beloved, I wish chiefly that thou prosperedst and faredst well as thy soul prospereth.
3 For I rejoiceth greatly when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, how thou walkest in the truth.
4 I have no greater joy than these, that is, to hear that my sons walk in verity.
5 Beloved, thou doest faithfully, whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers,
6 Which bore witness of thy love before the Churches, Whom if thou bringest on their journey as it seemeth according to God, thou shalt do well,
7 Because that for his Name’s sake they went forth, and took nothing of the Gentiles.
8 We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be helpers to the truth.
9 I wrote unto the Church, but Diotrephes which loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
10 Wherefore if I come, I will call to your remembrance his deeds which he doeth, prattling against us with malicious words, and not therewith content, neither he himself receiveth the brethren, but forbideth them that would, and thrusteth them out of the Church.
11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good: he that doeth well is of God: but he that doeth evil, hath not seen God.
12 Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we ourselves bear record, and ye know that our record is true.
13 I have many things to write: but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:
14 For I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak mouth to mouth. Peace be with thee. The friends salute thee. Greet thy friends by name.

The Second Epistle of John
Chapter 1:1-12
Geneva Bible Translation Ed. 1599

1 The Elder to the elect Lady, and her children, whom I love in the truth: and not I only, but also all that have known the truth,
2 For the truth’s sake which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us forever:
3 Grace be with you, mercy and peace from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ the Son of the Father, with truth and love.
4 I rejoiced greatly, that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment of the Father.
5 And now beseech I thee, Lady, (not as writing a new commandment unto thee, but the same which we had from the beginning) that we love one another.
6 And this is that love that we should walk after his commandments. This commandment is, that as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
7 For many deceivers are entered into this world, which confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. He that is such one, is a deceiver and an Antichrist.
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not the things, which we have done, but that we may receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that continueth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not to house, neither bid him Godspeed.
11 For he that biddeth him Godspeed, is partaker of his evil deeds. Although I had many things to write unto you, yet would I not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak mouth to mouth, that our joy may be full.
12 The sons of thine elect sister greet thee, Amen.

The First Epistle General of John
Chapter 5:18-21
Geneva Bible Translation Ed. 1599

18 We know that whosoever is born of God, sinneth not: but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. (a)
19 We know that we are of God, and this whole world lieth in wickedness.
20 But we know that that Son of God is come, and hath given us a mind to know him, which is true, and we are in him that is true, that is, in that his Son Jesus Christ, the same is that very God, and that eternal life. (b)
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols, Amen.

The First Epistle General of John
Chapter 5:14-17
Geneva Bible Translation Ed. 1599

14 And this is that assurance that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us. (a) (c)
15 And if we know that he heareth us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions, that we have desired of him.
16 If any man see his brother sin a sin that is not unto death, let him ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death, I say not that thou shouldest pray for it. (b)
17 All unrighteousness is sin, but there is a sin not unto death

(a) 1 John 3:22
(b) Matthew 12:31;  Mark 3:29
(c) A privilege belonging to faith in Christ, namely, audience in prayer: This is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us, 1 John 5:14. The Lord Christ emboldens us to come to God in all circumstances, with all our supplications and requests. Through him our petitions are admitted and accepted of God. The matter of our prayer must be agreeable to the declared will of God. It is not fit that we should ask what is contrary either to his majesty and glory or to our own good, who are his and dependent on him. And then we may have confidence that the prayer of faith shall be heard in heaven. The advantage accruing to us by such privilege: If we know that he heareth us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him, 1 John 5:15. Great are the deliverances, mercies, and blessings, which the holy petitioner needs. To know that his petitions are heard or accepted is as good as to know that they are answered; and therefore that he is so pitied, pardoned, or counselled, sanctified, assisted, and saved (or shall be so) as he is allowed to ask of God.

The First Epistle General of John
Chapter 5:6-13
Geneva Bible Translation Ed. 1599

6 This is that Jesus Christ that came by water and blood: not by water only, but by water and blood: and it is that Spirit that beareth witness: for that Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three, which bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three, which bear record in the earth, the Spirit, and the Water and the Blood: and these three agree in one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God, which he testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth in that Son of God, hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God, hath made him a liar, because he believed not the record, that God witnessed of that his Son.
11 And this is that record, to wit, that God hath given unto us eternal life, and this life is in that his Son.
12 He that hath that Son, hath that life: and he that hath not that Son of God, hath not that life.
13 These things have I written unto you, that believe in the name of that Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe in the Name of that Son of God. (a)

The First Epistle General of John
Chapter 5:1-5
Geneva Bible Translation Ed. 1599

1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is that Christ, is born of God: and everyone that loveth him, which begat, loveth him also which is begotten of him.
2 In this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not burdenous.(a)
4 For all that is born of God, overcometh this world: and this is that victory that hath overcome this world even our faith.
5 Who is it that overcometh this world, but he which believeth that Jesus is that Son of God?(b)

(a) Matthew 11:30
(b) 1 Corinthians 15:57

The apostle having, in the conclusion of the last chapter, as was there observed, urged Christian love upon those two accounts, as suitable to Christian profession and as suitable to the divine command, here adds a third: Such love is suitable, and indeed demanded, by their eminent relation; our Christian brethren or fellow-believers are nearly related to God; they are his children: Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, 1 John 5:1. Here the Christian brother is described by his faith; he that believeth that Jesus is the Christ—that he is Messiah the prince, that he is the Son of God by nature and office, that he is the chief of all the anointed world, chief of all the priests, prophets, or kings, who were ever anointed by God or for him, that he is perfectly prepared and furnished for the whole work of the eternal salvation-accordingly yields himself up to his care and direction; and then he is, dignified by his descent: this one is then born of God, 1 John 5:1. This principle of faith, and the new nature that attends it or from which it springs, are ingenerated by the Spirit of God; and so sonship and adoption are not now appropriated to the seed of Abraham according to the flesh, but by that same Spirit.
